A few months ago I sat in a management meeting at Licorice Group. The group’s management decided on an efficiency project. We built a 6-step work plan for the next few months. The plan is cross-organizational, and deals with standardization in the group’s factories.
Since then, the group’s activity has changed a bit, the goals have changed a bit and, as a result, so has the work plan.
But the important part is that all the important elements were (and still are) there – a vision, a work plan and management that is committed and involved in the process.
Today we did a dry run in the second factory with the key users before running a reporting application on the production floor.
